Call for Expression of Interest – One Day Training

Title: Monitoring and Evaluation Trainer

Location: Pristina, Kosovo

The Balkan Policy Research Group (BPRG) is seeking the services of trainer to train staff members on Monitoring and Evaluation for one day.


Balkans Policy Research Group (BPRG) – Balkans Group is an independent, nonpartisan think tank dedicated to contributing to state-building and societal harmony in Kosovo, and to facilitating state reconciliation in Kosovo and peace in the Western Balkans. Through evidence-based research, analysis, advocacy, policy dialogue and expertise, its ultimate aim is to bring the region closer to the EU. Balkans BPRG strategic orientations address key challenges of Kosovo’s state-building process, which proves to be a monumental task for the Kosovo society. BPRG is committed to supporting the goals of better functioning of institutions, democratic consolidation, integration of minorities, resolution of neighbourly disputes, and advancing the EU agenda.

BPRG seeks to recruit a trainer to train staff on tools and approaches of monitoring and evaluation of projects in the BPRG office.


  • Develop content in line with BPRG needs and deliver training on tools and practical application of M&E

Deliverable Outputs

One day training for staff of BPRG covering

    • An understanding of what monitoring and evaluation means
    • The ability to build a project or programme design and a monitoring and evaluation framework
    • The knowledge to develop and utilise appropriate indicators for measuring project or programme goals, outcomes, outputs, and impacts/effectiveness
    • An understanding of quantitative and qualitative data collection methods and the ability to use them in project or programme monitoring and evaluation
    • The tools to write reports and recommendations

Training report to be received no later than one week after training



Education: Preferably advanced degree in development, political sciences or programme management

To be considered for this role you must meet the following criteria:

Excellent understanding of the political and social context and civil society organisations in Kosovo;

Thorough understanding and experience of conducting monitoring and evaluation within a project cycle

Proven track record of development and delivery of training of M&E tools and methods

Ability to present information clearly
