End of year round of dialogue with political party vice presidents promises cooperation and timetable for progress

20 December, 2017 Facilitated by Balkans Group, the vice presidents of five parliamentary parties VV, LDK, PDK, AAK and NISMA convened for a new round of political dialogue Vice presidents from the governing coalition and the opposition parties worked together on a new dialogue agenda including topics, which require firm cooperation and coordination between the ruling parties, opposition and direct involvement from the parliament. The need to enhance the dialogue by prioritising and establishing clear and realistic deadlines for addressing and resolving difficult topics was reaffirmed by the vice presidents. Border demarcation with Montenegro was highlighted as an urgent matter with all parties agreeing solutions needs to be found. The dialogue with Serbia was also considered a top priority with all parties assenting to intensify the work and preparation for the talks. The next round will address the topics one by one, vice presidents greed. The rounds of meetings between political parties are part of the political dialogue Balkans Group has established in 2016.
