Reporting to: the Project Manager and the Executive Director

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Project Coordinator / Legal Officer will support, plan, develop, implement and ensure the effective and flexible coordination of the project within the territory of the Republic of North Macedonia, namely in Skopje.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensure timely and duly coordination of the projects and implementation of all project activities in accordance with BPRG objectives.
• Support day-to-day supervision of project implementation and ensure successful project outcomes;
• Design both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies;
• Collect data and conduct monitoring and evaluation activities to ensure objectives are being met;
• Ensure proper and exact planning of activities and collect reports on their implementation.
• Draft project proposals and coordinate each step toward project implementation.
• Perform all administrative matters related to the project.
• Draft contracts and ensure their implementation;
• Ensure that legal affairs are handled appropriately and in accordance with the law
• Provide legal review and legal advice on MOUs, Contracts, and other legal documents.
• Ensure maintenance of proper electronic and paper filing systems;
• Other tasks as required by the Balkans Group.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Advanced university degree in Law.
• At least 2 years of relevant professional experience and strong managerial capabilities in multi-disciplinary tasks.
• Proven experience in project implementation and development, writing project proposals, and project evaluation.
• Extensive knowledge of key issues in North Macedonia, the region, and related international and EU issues;
• Ability to understand the political context of the issues.
• Strong research and analytical skills;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
• Knowledge of all relevant applicable laws and regulations;
• Strong attention to detail;
• Ability to prepare legal documents;
• Excellent spoken and written English and Macedonian; command of the Albanian language is an added value but not a requirement.
• A strong capacity for effective teamwork and a high degree of flexibility in working hours.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment. Effectively deal and work with multi-tasks and deadlines.
