Title: Advocacy Events Coordinator Status: Full time Location: Prishtina, Kosovo Reporting to: Executive Director
POSITION SUMMARY:The Advocacy Events Coordinator will plan, develop, implement and ensure the effectiveness of advocacy events and other project activities organised by BPRG in line with respective protocol.
RESPONSIBILITIES:● Ensure timely and duly implementation of all project’s events in accordance with project implementation plan, BPRG objectives, and donor requirements; ● Conceptualise new creative ideas during the organising process; ● Prepare event budgets and ensure adherence; ● Responsible for managing and reconciling various event calendars. ● Propose and develop new project initiatives and advocacy events within the scope and strategy of the Balkans Policy Research Group; ● Inspect event facilities to ensure they conform to the event needs; ● Plan event from start to finish according to requirements, target audience and objectives; ● Come up with suggestions to enhance the event’s success and effectiveness; ● Source and negotiate with vendors and suppliers; ● Coordinate all organisational operations; ● Lead promotional activities for the event; ● Ensure event’s smooth complemetion; ● Evaluate the event’s success and prepare reports.
REQUIREMENTS: ● Proven experience as Event Organiser and/or Manager; ● Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure to meet short deadlines; ● Project management skills; ● Knowledge of BPRG’s scope of work (Policy & Advocacy activities); ● Previous experience/knowledge of Protocol; ● Time management and organisational skills; ● Exceptional leadership skills; ● High attention to detail; ● Excellent analytical skills; ● Exceptional writing skills (in English and Albanian) and ability to formulate well-targeted project ideas and activities; ● Excellent spoken English and Albanian, Serbian language is an advantage; ● A strong capacity for effective teamwork, a high degree of flexibility, willingness to work long hours and under pressure of deadlines; ● Ability to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment.
