Reporting to: Executive Director

POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the overall supervision of BPRG Executive Director and in close cooperation with the latter, the Programme Director/Policy editor will have the following responsibilities:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead, supervise and edit the research and policy papers including but not limited to proofreading the content of the papers;
  • Ensure that the organization’s research and writing practices and policies are well implemented;
  • Ensure effective implementation of all programmes for the Balkans group; including developing long term goals to achieve successful outcomes.
  • Follow all organizational policies, protocols and procedures
  • Ensure close monitoring and documentation of program implementation against indicators and objectives;
  • Support project staff regarding any potential deviations of projects;
  • Support organisational, programme and project development;
  • Contribute/Support the designing and planning of new projects and programmes;
  • Other tasks as required;

REQUIREMENTS:

  • MA degree in one of the following fields: international relations, social sciences, development studies, interdisciplinary studies, or other related studies;
  • Knowledge in designing both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies;
  • At least 5 years’ relevant professional experience in Policy Areas and in-depth knowledge in one or more areas of the Balkans Group;
  • Extensive knowledge of key issues in Kosovo, the region, and related  international and EU issues;
  • Strong research skills and ability to propose policy interventions;
  • Excellent writing skills in English and Albanian, Serbian Desirable;
  • Ability to plan and work within agreed timeframes;
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative and work well under pressure;  
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability;
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment;
  • Deal and work with multi-tasks and agendas;
