Title: Project Development & Researcher

Reporting to: Executive Director
POSITION SUMMARY
In the capacity of the Project Development & Researcher, and under the direct supervision of the Executive Director, the Employee is responsible for ensuring successful strategic, research, and operational aspects of project development.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support and contribute to the organisational, program, and project development.
- Work with the Project Coordinator and Balkans Group’s team to help develop project proposals, including objectives, activities, timelines, and deliverables.
- Support close monitoring, documentation, and tracking of the project’s implementation and outcomes against indicators objectives, providing recommendations for improvement.
- Understand the policy aspect behind the project.
- Contribute to the day-to-day implementation of project activities to ensure goals are met.
- Conduct thorough research and analysis on key national and regional policy matters, and international agendas, in line with the project’s goals and activities.
- Develop policy recommendations based on research and findings.
- Write, edit, and review papers, articles, and reports for publication.
- Stay informed about emerging policy trends and developments in the region and beyond.
- Follow all organization policies, protocols, and procedures.
- Report to the Project Coordinator and Executive Director.
- Other tasks as required.
REQUIREMENTS:
- BA/MA degree in social sciences, EU foreign policy, international relations, and/or other related fields.
- An understanding of the issues and policies of the Western Balkans countries.
- Proven research skills and a strong understanding of different research methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to formulate well-targeted project ideas and activities.
- Experience in project development and implementation.
- Excellent writing skills in Albanian and English.
- Ability to plan, multitask, and manage multiple agendas within the agreed timeframes.
- Ability to demonstrate initiative and work well under pressure, in a fast-paced environment.
